Mmmm, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I just finished my lunch and found this BT here - I made some coffee, grabbed my guitar and used only fingers (no pick) for the whole thing. I really like the turnarounds.

I really liked that just on the verge of overdriven clean tone that when pushed gets some hair. Your sig. "squawk" was present as usual, but you caught me off guard cause you showed some restraint and did'nt cut loose and rip it up on this track. You must be feeling pretty mellow. Overall a really tasty tone filled take I enjoyed. Great job! :D

You know how it is after lunch... Siesta. :munch Or as we call it in Dalmatia (coastal part of Croatia) - Fjaka! (pronounced "fyakha"). :)

Grabbed me when I first heard it so I gave it a whirl. My guitar was a little strong in the mix, sorry....Yanked my b string out of tune somewhere and tripped over myself a few times. Was a little hesitant when I did the chords because of the tone but anyway, here tis..........

Here is a quick stab at it. On this one I played the Purple Quilt 95 USA Washburn MG 122 with a 59 and Custom Custom through the Fender Super-Sonic head I just got last week and used the George Dennis Wah at the end.

Yep it's a blast:crazyguy. Right now I'm between gigs and my Real Estate buisness is in the crapper so playing over this stuff takes the edge off a little and helps me keep my chopps up;).

I finally got around to doing my own take on my backing. I just picked up a Marshall JCM 900 100 watt Hi-Gain Dual Reverb 2x12 combo for a VERY good price which I couldn't pass on. Anyway I decided to dial in a blues tone on the overdrive B channel for this clip. This is the very 1st Tube Marshall I've ever owned. I KNOW is not a very well loved amp,but for the price I got it for who cares. Here's the link to my take.

Congrats on snagging the new amp man! I used a 1x12 JCM 900 Dual Reverb combo on the road for several years back in the late 80's-mid 90's cool amps!!

nice...

I had a JCM800 combo that I never really cared for. I believe it was the Diode clipping version.

I thought this was a nice Jekyll & Hyde take. I seemed like a nice easy laid back take, and then you got aggressive and wicked. Good take and nice shift of gears.:AOK

Thanks woody. I guess it's the same with the jazzy stuff you play. It some hard stuff to sound smooth on unless you know what you're doing.:)

I agree with Woody. This was a very fluid and smokey tone you had working here. It's such a smooth and relaxing sounding tone. I like it a lot HT. :D

Nice Tex! I have always heard bad things about
the 900...not bad at all. I think you did good
