I have located a bad ceramic disk cap (.003) in the reverb circuit. I haven't been able to locate an exact replacement in my parts bin. What would a .0047 do in this spot? or a .0022? Can I go up or down here without issue? Thx for any perspective.

The cap in question sets the output frequency response of the reverb recovery circuit. To a minor extent it also affects the gain of that stage. As you'd expect, a larger value cap (the 4n7) will pass more "low" frequency than the smaller value (2n2) cap. I put low in quotes because we're really playing with mids and upper frequencies here.

All of that said, I'd think that the difference between the three values of coupling cap would be very subtle. I.e. it probably doesn't matter much. The 2n2 may make the reverb a bit thin sounding while the 4n7 will probably pass a bit more noise. I'd try the 4n7 first.

Thanks Todd, very helpful. I'll pop in that 4n7 and see how she sounds.

You could parallel a .001 with the .002 to get .003.
