View Full Version : Hi from Connecticut
Greetings!
My name is Jay. I am a fan of 80's shred metal, r+b, jazz and a few other forms of music.
I currently own a "Jack Butler" Steve Vai Charvel clone. It's an original 1982 body with a chrome floyd, h-h. It has a pointy head maple/maple 22 fret neck that absolutely screams!!! Again, since seeing Crossroads back in the 80's, I loved Steve Vai's axe for that scene and had to have it.
I also own an '86 jackson in electric blue h-s kahler also with a maple 22 fret neck.
Currently, I'm after an Eric Johnson model Fender as it really has a nice tone for jazz/blues/clean stuff.
I have a marshall silver jubilee 4X12, boss sd-1 gt-6 and a few other odds and ends. I frequently surf harmony central and the jcf(jackson charvel) forums(also the euro one).
Seems like a nice forum you guys have here. Look forward to a nice stay :)
Jay(oh, the Z06 in my name is for my car, a 2004 z06 'vette in red)

I found the head at Springmeyer music in watertown. Was going by on the job and instantly did a double take!!! The cab was supposedly owned by Sindi of the Luna Chicks. It is beat to hell, but sounds good!

Greetings Jay,
Welcome to TGP!
It's new guitar day!
My Eric Johnson model fender strat has arrived. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm quite used to my Charvel and Jacksons with their flat radius neck and VERY slim back shape.
I bought this from a forum member here(not sure of his name at the moment) but He was a pleasure to deal with(Bill is his real name) The guitar could have gone to Pakistan, that is how well it was packed. I don't think it was EVER played and it came PERFECTLY in tune!!!!
Again, not sure if I'm not used to it yet, or what. Might take some time to adjust to it. GORGEOUS axe!!! I love the finish.
Here are some photos!
