Good evening,
New player, less than a year hence the name TenThumbs, checking in who started late in life -38 , but always wanted to learn how to make it sing.
Right now I am still at the stage of having a guitar with some sort of noise emminating from it but slowly learning chords, notes and strumming patterns and hope to actually play out sometime before I die. Learning mostly blues, rockabily, and classic rock material.
Jumped into the deep end right away as I picked up a Gold Top Gretsch Pro Jet, Epi Casino and a Roland JC 77 amp for a steal (all for less than the cost of the Epi new). I imagine these will move out as I progress, but for now, they keep the calluses thick and the wife unhappy.
This is a great sight for information/advice and look forward to learning more.
