Hey... I grew up a military brat at MCAS El Toro. For most of the last 14 years I've lived in a dry county in North Alabama. So there's not much fun to be had out here in the country. Except being able to turn up to ear damaging levels with no complaints except from the dog.

I've played guitar for 16 years and have no natural talent. Since 2002 I've played ratholes in a loud fast punk rock band. Chuck Berry is probably my favorite player. I also enjoy 50's oldies, ska, reggae, outlaw country and blues. Freddy is my favorite King. Besides guitar stuff, I spend my money on Vinyl, Star Wars and shoes.

I usually play a black Epiphone quilt top Les Paul and recently I got a vintage sunburst Dot Studio. Amps - 1959 SLP RI, Blackface era Bassman and my trusty Fender Roc Pro. Pedals - Shredmaster, Bad Monkey and YJM308. Nothing fancy but I like reading about gear. So here I am.

Thanks HipKitty... ran across and archived your pedal page a few months ago. Cool stuff. I'm gonna start on my first BYOC kit soon, so wish me luck, haha.

Oh... and Lawrence Record Shop emptys my pockets almost everytime I'm in Nashville. Love it.

I was the house guitarist for Cathedral Of The Cross in Centerpoint for several years. We played City Stages last year and were one of the finalist in the gospel catagory for the BAMA awards. Right now I'm just playing for a small Church in Summiton.
I'm in South Roebuck BTW.

Thanks for the good words! If you get stuck, just pm me and I will be glad to help you troubleshoot your build. I can't say that I've ever laid hands on a BYOC, but pedals are pedals and the troubleshooting process for them applies to most pedals...the more complicated circuits can demand other troubleshooting processes that you might not otherwise use....however, during the build process, they are pretty much the same.

Good Luck!

Yep I play out at least a couple of times a week. Thanks for the complement man. The old Mega Church has a new Pastor now and is looking for a P/W leader and I still have an open door there. I just wasn't going to get caught up in a bunch of politicts during all the transition so I stepped out for a while. I really hope that gig opens back up as playing three times a week in front of 4000+ SCREAMING folks and wailing my brains out was an absolute BLAST!!!
Here are a couple of live clips from that Church band with me on guitar

Does this involve a bunch of us getting together in a room with our amps and ice cold refreshments of some sorts? Cuz that sounds fun.

Something like that . When I was still involved with the Carvin BBS in 04 and 05 we had a SouthEastern Bash in Atalanta. That was however in a Church so the "refreshments" were a little different:roll. That however is the concept.

I'm down for any guitar oriented get together. Perhaps when the weather's a bit warmer? It'd be rad to learn some gospely organ type lines. I've been messin with a cheap Octave and a Vibrothang, to get in the ballpark, but been eyeballin a Micro POG.

That guitar of your's made me dig my NJ Warlock out today. I'm the itchy dude in the hallway ;). We both obviously know to wear black with such guitars.

If you pick up a copy of this week's Birmingham Weekly, you can check out a picture of me and my main guitar. I'm sure the authorities love my shirt. Somebody likes us.
