I'm setting up a new MacBook for use with my guitar fx rig. Previously, I was using an old PC notebook, and used MIDIOX to route MIDI data inside the computer.

Is there a similar application for OSX?

OSX has native midi via audio/midi setup. It's in your utilities folder.

There is a midi patchbay program here (http://pete.yandell.com/software/) that is free if you can't use osx's built-in stuff.

I tried that, but as far as I can tell there is no simple way to route MIDI data from input 'A' to output 'B' of my MidiSport2x2 interface.

I'll look for TFM and do some reading ;)

Here's a capture of my Audio MIDI Setup window:

FX1 is a MIDI footcontroller. The PodXT is connected via USB to the Mac (for editing presets & data backup), and is also connected to the MidiSport OUTB (to receive data sent from the FX1 footcontroller).
