This thing has been on ebay for months and months.

I figure they would have spent many hundreds of $$ on it by now keeping it on ebay.

It must be the painted headstock.

I figure somebody would like that color but its been on ebay for a very long time. Sounds like they are asking too much or are just having trouble selling it for some reason.

I don't find it ugly either. I prefer unpainted headstocks, and I'm not crazy about the color of that one. But it's a Grosh. It's no doubt a great playing guitar that probably sounds fantastic to boot.

The price is just a tad high for what ones with really hard core birdseye & figured bodies go for used. That would be my guess why it might have sat on ebay for a long time. If he dropped it $100.-$150. it would probably go.

Thanks guys. Actually, I sold the Burton to pay for... ah hell, I can't remember which guitar I bought with that money, but she was hot :D

Te seafoam green in that picture is gone, too. The sherwood green in the background is getting new pickups - the Fender set up with the S1 switching... still wiring it - and the Evil Knievel one on the right is waiting for a set of nice humbuckers. It currently has GFS Hot Liverpools, but I don't dig those in that guitar. Not sure what I am going to put in there, either...

Yeah, still can't remember why I did sell her... musta been some bills that needed some payin' :(

It didn't sound enough like a Tele when I played it. But I will get another one some day. I loved the finish on it.

I've seen that Grosh in person - and yeah, I did not find it appealing. Bought a BTC instead, and it's not any shade of pink.

Grosh makes some really nice looking guitars. To me, that's not one of them.

I dig burgundy mist. It was a semi popular color maybe 6 or 7 years ago, but I don't think we have done one in years. That guitar looks good imho. Just needs a better picture.

I don't think it's a great looking guitar, but I don't agree that it's "ugly". :BEER

I expected something gawd awful and was greeted with something that was simply a *blah* color. Different tastes I guess.

Weak photos and a high price are not good bedfellows.

Persoanlly I'm not a fan of Burgandy mist. Also, that's a high starting price. Grosh's are great, but their resale value sucks. Look at all the used set necks that cost $4000-$4500 new and sell used for under $3000.

Just an FYI - I believe that guitar is actually new, but has been at the shop for three (at least). They moved it to the used section about a year ago.

Bingo -- yeah, and it's pink. Otherwise the guitar looks fine to me.

the painted headstock is the only thing I don't like, otherwise not an ugly guitar in my book

I think it's pretty cool, myself.

But guitarists are a VERY conservative bunch.

If it ain't the color, make, model, etc., that your "hero" played, well....
