The amp in my Rover is not working 100% and I want to know if there is anyone in the Ct. area that could possibly repair it. It's out of the unit, which is half the battle, so it can be worked on. A local repair person would be best.
I have the schematics, but there is no parts layout diagram. None exist, I tried.
Symptoms:
1. The output is just not that loud. I realize it is only a 40 watt transistor amp, but it definitely is not as loud as it should be. I've owned 3, so I know.
2. The low frequency output which is supposed to send the bass to a separate amp is just static, with no output.
3. Somewhere in its life, someone changed one of the transistors. You can tell it's been replaced.
