Digitech no longer repairing PDS-8000--anywhere else?

Well, I thought you all should know (& I know I shouldn't have put
this off so long)...I called digitech today about sending my beloved pds 8000 in for repair and was told they stopped doing this a few months ago,
due to "older parts being not available," or something like that.
They have repaired mine in the past with no problems. The only thing
I can think of is that if you need a bucket brigade chip they are
hard to come by, but it's usually just the pots and switches that need replacing... anyhow, does anyone have any rec's for where to send
this? I called a local NYC place that will charge $95 per hour w/ a
1 hour minimum plus parts (ouch!).

Start sending some e-mails to the makers of more popular delay pedals, like Makko, Analogman, Empress, Retrosonic, etc. They may have sources of parts.

What is the issue? That would help people figure out what the possibility of repair is.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Issues are the usual with these pedals--intermittent switches, noisy pots, etc. Digitech used to repair them for $35, not sure why they discontinued this, it's not like the parts aren't made anymore, except for the bucket brigade chips, which aren't the problem anyhow...

It sounds like replacing the switches with a new style would be a good idea if they always go out, noisy pots are usually just cleaning them with contact cleaner.
