Hello to all the fellow Gearpagers!
My name is Marco Millul, and I'm from Florence, Italy.
I'm 23 and I started playin' at the age of 16.
I like many musical genres, my favourites being Metal and Hard Rock, but I'm really open to everything
I quit my last band on November, due to work and study issues..actually, I was no longer able to keep up with the other guys' level, since I had no time to practice
Now, I'm going to start a trio that will bridge the gap between Carcass and James Brown..really!
My last DVD purchases where Black Label Society?European tour and Pat Metheny's The Way Up Live (killer concert!!!)
My last "known player" gig was Popa Chubby, great act!
Currently, my gear is:
- Brian Moore i8
-Charvel Tele (unknomn year, reverse Jackson headstock, screaming '80)
- Engl Thunder head with KT88 (no Mesa will survive to this little beast!)
- Hughes&Kettner 2xV30 cab
-Digitech Digidelay
-Boss GE7 equalizer
If somone wants some suggestions on the city (you know..where to eat, where to go, what to see...) and on Tuscany in general, feel free to PM me!
Take care and rock hard! :RoCkIn:RoCkIn:RoCkIn
Ciao!
Marco

Hi Marco - If you get a chance to look up Alessandro Panzini (from Florence too , I believe) He's a phenomenal guitarist and teacher. Please tell him I said hi. I met him this winter by doing some work on his guitar when he visited the States (Vermont). Welcome to TGP

Ciao Paul!

Hi Denny! That name isn't completely new to me, but I don't know him personally! I invite you to check out Giacomo Castellano, another great guitarist from Florence!
Thank you for stopping by!
If I ever come to Vermont, I'll bring you my guitar, too!
Take care

Cheers,
Silvia

They sure did. Italian luthiers have made significant contributions to the art of guitar building since the 17th century, influencing even the major Spanish schools

Hi Nibus! Yes, they make'em! check out Stanzani Guitars, he mades acoustics too, it's the first one who comes to mind!
But we have also great electric guitars builders, as Jacaranda, Molinelli, Liutart and many others!

Hey Millul. I'm a newbie on here as well, joined yesterday. Just thought I'd pass on to you.....I popped the question to my Mrs on the Ponte Vecchio a couple of years back. A busker playing Father and Son got me all romantic. Also...we stayed in Hotel La Giaconda. the same room the Mona Lisa was found in. Bella Firenza.

Great place and moment choice, man!
it doesn't get any better than Ponte Vecchio, except maybe for Piazzale Michelangelo!
You can always call your son Leonardo, right?
If you ever get back here, make sure to call!

Welcome to The Gear Page! Did you read in the rules that the new guy hosts all the other TGP'ers when they come to your country?? Not really, but I wish it were as Italy is my most favorite place in the world!

Hey Marco!
Welcome brother:)
Spent abit of time in Florence, up in Bivigiliano (?)..
Great place!
Had the best meal of my life in Florence in a really cool restaurant that had all the legs of ham etc hanging from the ceiling. . . Just plonked you down at a table with strangers and asked Meat or salad?! Brilliant, brilliant night. Chick got up and stormed off on me and all. lol.
Even if you had a reservation they just came to the door and called out names and saw if they liked the look of you;)
Italy is fantastic ;)
Hope you have half as many good memories here on TGP as I have of Italy.
One last thing...... Max/Vale ?!!!
