Just wondering what is the reason for a double rectifer tube set up like in the old Tweed Twins would it be to boost the output somehow? Just wondering as some of the older models did not have that and some of the newer narrow panels did on some of the tweed amps. Just wondering what the reasons were?

the purpose was to increase forward current capabilities while reducing forward voltage drop.

Which is if I am guessing right from your comments would increase the output then like I was thinking it would?

The '57 narrow panel tweed Twin used two 5U4s because the GZ34 hadn't been invented yet! Basically had a GZ34 been available Leo probably would have used it. The 5U4 was the most efficient rectifier at the time and by using two you could get a good punchy tone happening - just one rectifier would have struggled to get the tone as punchy.
I use a single GZ34 in my 5E8-A Twin because I prefer it. If you have a '57 Twin RI you can do the same if you want - That's what Victoria do in theirs.
