These amps are pretty much the same except for the voltages and some component changes on the 6v6s Why I ask is I have a 1472 and I always thought it was a 15 watt amp but is a ten watt amp according to the specs I just found. The 1482 which is a later amp is 15 watts they did say that the 1472 that was made in 63 was a 15 watt amp instead of the ten watts. So the only thing I see different is Voltages the 72 is 260 V off of pin 3 of the 6v6's and the 82 is 346 V. Now the differences I see is in the push pull circuit on the 72 off of pin 8 R24 is 220 ohms and C9 is marked as 10 at 25v while there is a resistor coming off pin 5 of both 6v6's that is an 330 K resistor. On the 82 R24 is a 270 ohm resistor and C9 is a 25 U 25V cap and there is no resistors on pins 5 of either 6v6. Could these changes make the difference in the voltage and the wattage?

Here is a scematic of a 1482 with some mods in the front but the push pull circuit is unaltered so you can see it.

Here is a link as I could not get the 1472 to copy to photo bucket.

If you look at both schematics you will see the power coming off the power transformer is much different as well. It's not just the few components you list, but both the power and the output transformers that are different in the two amps. So it isn't just a few parts to change, but some major stuff.

Thanks I wondered about the PT after I posted this. I guess it is what it is. :)
