Avatar 2x12 cab VS. Marshall 4x12 cab

I have a avatar 2x12 witha celestion mix-g12h and a v30.I was thinking about getting a marshall 4x12 1960a(g12's).How much tonal difference is their between the two?Is a 4x12 too much for a bedroom?Does it push too much air?I am not looking for loud,I am trying to improve upon my tone.Thanks.

I've had both... IMHO, a 4x12 is WAAAYY overkill for bedroom... The sweet spot on a Marshall 4x12 is ear-splitting!

Hey Standard. I would think about changing one or both speakers in your 2x12. What kind of tone are you looking for. What about the v30/h30 combinations bothers you?
