I've build a DIY JTM Clone wich runs fine and i
realy like it.
So I tried it with KT 66 and really like the top end and big bottom.
I tried it with EL 34 (16 Ohm cab with Amp on 8 ohm ) and really
like the punchy and tight low mids .
Has anyone tried to run a mix of KT66 and EL 34 in a 50 watter ?
I know the necessity of dual biasing and that at least one tube
will be see the wrong load.
But may this mix will do it all ?????

Thank you

When I mix the EL-84 and 6V6 for push/pull, I can get both tubes to balance pretty close by adding PA plate loading resistors on top the EL-84. For an EL-34 and a KT-88, I'd have to look at the data sheets and calculate the derivative tube gain between both tubes to determine PA plate loading.
