I'm stoked.

Though I haven't actually tried the 50, the 200 sounds AMAZING and this will probably be perfect for letting the tubes work a little harder.

Anyone have any comparisons or opinions about the differences between the two?

Tube recommendations?

yes Keld...IT'S ON THE WAY!!!! TODAY!! Now need some Mullards! I cannot wait. I think i may sell my OR120 or trade it for a Top Hat Emplexador MkII.

I just got a 2x12 orange bottom at Music Toyz- 5% off! Doing my part to keep the economy moving...now I need a band...and hell I am a singer.

What worries me about the Thunderverb 50 is that one of its selling points is that it has enough low end to even be used as a bass amp but I don't know if the 50 will have enough oomph to hold that low end together as well as the 200W version.

But, then again, every Thunderverb I've heard sounds great. And I want one.

I'm so jealous, i've been drooling over a Tverb for a little bit. But i'd have to get three other jobs to buy one and still pay tuition. :sigh:

OH MAN. This is a sweet amp. Oddly enough, the dirty channel makes for a better clean tone... more info to come after I gig with the TV50 and 2x12 tonight.

I'm sure it will have enough oomph. Remember, the Fender Bassman was originally a bass amp, designed for lots of low end, and it wasn't that high wattage either. The Thunderverb basically has nothing in the signal path to filter out the low end to make it tighter; that means that you should get a more "spongy" response from it than a tighter amp (even a Marshall) but that it should be able to go down nice and low for you, even at 50W! :dude
