sorry if this has been asked before, but i searched and to no avail. I'm changing my speaker for the 1st time and i have absolutely no idea how to go about doing that. i know it involves soldering something and doing something, but should i, someone with no soldering history even try this? i have a kustom amp with a celestion rocket already inside it. the speaker i wanna swap it with is a celestion G12T-100. i already have the g12t and i just want to know what the hell do i do from here.

If the speaker wire is soldered to the terminals you have no option but to learn how to use a soldering iron or find someone that can remove the wires from the back of your speaker and reattach them to your new speaker for you. Once the wires are off it's a simple matter of unbolting the speaker and putting the new one in and re-soldering the wires (but I guess you already knew that).
Soldering: (Google is your friend!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soldering
Good luck,
Scott
I don't know how much space you have in the Kustom 1x12 combo cab, but I did a speaker swap on a Peavey Classic-30 once and had to remove both the amp chassis and reverb tank before I could make the swap. I don't recall having to remove the tubes first.
Go slow, take your time, it should be a simple task.
