I have a blue 6101 combo with a minor problem. It developed a buzz in all three channels when I was swapping preamp tubes one nite. Problably a minor thing but I'm no tech. I know some people don't like to work on these because of all the circuitry inside but I like the sound of it and would like to get it fixed.
thanks!

Any tech with half a brain will service them, theres plenty of amps out there that are less than perfect design wise, theyre a great sounding rock amp BTW, cheers!

Um, you've worked on one? FWIW, though they're not the PITA that the 2000's are, they're VERY close. PC components wave soldered onto thin boards, thin traces, ribbon cables and spade lugs, just not built like an 800. If you need a custom part, as of about 6 years ago, not only won't Marshall sell you the parts, but will encourage you to "find another one and use it for spares." I would say that if you get it repaired, baby that amp within an inch of its life. It's never going to get more reliable on you, and the repair costs will probably cost you a bit.

Not trying to bring you down, but, even though they have some good sounds, I'd never consider them a well-built amp.
