I have a Weber BiasRite on order and will be visiting Lord Valve in the next couple weeks to pick up some new power tubes for my amps.

Since none of my amps has an externally accessible bias pot, I need access to the open side of the chassis. How do you guys get access to the bias pot? I don't think I can lean the amp on the trannies because of the way the tubes are laid out.

Any words of wisdom?

Place a 100w Marshall head cabinet face down, unscrew and rotate the chassis 90 degrees and it sits just perfect with the circuit/bias adjust exposed in the head cavity. You got to wonder whether they thought of that when it was designed or did Marshall just luck out?

Alec, a hint especially with the Rake - remove the metal corner protectors when removing the chassis; it won't come out unless you do.

Also - I too lay the head cab face down and put the chassis on the back of the cab which is now facing up.
