Call me Digby.

I don't want to write too much and bore everyone, so here's the Reader's Digest version: Was a professional musician for fourteen years (gigs, teaching and session work) then quit in 2001 from severe burn-out. Sold EVERYTHING I owned, now am returning. Used to have a big rack set up and so forth. Now I have a simple amp, a *killer* Reverend Buckshot and am getting my chops back in shape and am seeking paying jobs again.

Originally from Texas, moved to Georgia in 2001. Still miss Texas.

Regards to all,

Digby

Not sure what you might be wanting. Basically I played with a variety of club bands, some were very good and played a lot of "A" clubs and high profile jobs. Others were not and didn't. I taught privately from 1991 to 2001, and I would do odd sessions when I could get them. Sometimes a Dallas band of the 'next big thing' variety (they never were) would need someone to come in to re-do badly played guitar tracks. As well, I had a friend in Terrell who ran a studio. Most of his projects were Contempoary Christian (not my taste ot religion but it paid) and I've played on a few recordings by people whose names I can't recall and I'm pretty sure never 'made it.' I played an a**-load of coutry jobs, did some top 40, played with a funk R&B band for a while too. I did many, many fill-in jobs in addition to all of the above. I wish I could say I played with big names, but that's not the case. As close as I came was one band I worked for (Yancey Stevens and the City Slickers) that opened for Michael Martin Murphy who apparently was some sort of name. And when we'd play Billy Bob's Texas (huge night club in Fort Worth) we would open for people like Johnny Rivers ("Secret Agent Man") and that sort of fare.
