Dang--this is what I get for not reading the directions. I didn't realize there was a place to introduce yourself. I just started asking questions right out the gate like some kinda feckless dolt. Sorry, I realize after reading that a great deal of knowledge and experience is contained in these pages, I best be on my toes and show some manners. My name is Tim, I'm 48, and I'm from San Marcos, CA, about five miles from the Pacific (15 miles N. of San Diego). I play trumpet primarily, in a Jazz quartet doing some Miles, Meters, Blues and Bebop(weak on HARD bop)...and have had the great pleasure to work with Felix Fan(Cello, prodogy of Yo Yo Ma, and NO, I am NOT at his level by any stretch!!), Harold Todd (Lenny Kravitz), Wally Ingram(Drummer w/ Sheryl Crow) Doug Allen(Mar Dels). On guitar, I played in a Reggae band(and doubled on horn) doing a bunch of openings and backings for guys like Alton Ellis, The Itals, Burning Spear, Sly and Robbie/Roots Radics etc.for about 25 years on and off, and in between worked with some groovy cats like Bob Siggins (Charles River Valley boys--look that one up for all you bluegrass afficianados!). My guitar chops are weakest on jazz chordings and I am primarily another one of those "noodle meisters" that you just gotta hate. My current guitar hero gods are Doyle Dykes, David Lindley.
