I'm much more comfortable buying and selling here than eBay, that's for sure. For one thing, every transaction here begins with communication, which gives you a good idea (usually) of who you're dealing with.

I've had nothing but positive experiences dealing with fellow TGPers.

I try to remember all the money TGP saves me in eBay fees and donate now and again. ;)

I bought a Budda SD30 2 X 12 combo from ecbluesman54 that was in absolute mint condition for an unbelievable price.

I bought a Fender American Series strat from Billstets that was perfectly modded (callaham block, duncan antiquity pu's, aged plastic, RS kit, nicely weathered) that is the best strat I have ever played. Another amazing deal.

I need to chime in (bang the gong?) for:

Relicula: Good deal on a Historic TV yellow Les Paul Jr.

Texzy: Really nice deal on a Mojotone Bluesbreaker oversized 1-12 cab.

Mr. Coffee: Chassis and iron, sockets, wire, etc. for a Bassman build.

Some others for a couple of speakers and pedals.

And ESPECIALLY jmareck (Josh): for a fantastic deal on a '68 Fender Super Reverb. Josh seperated the chassis (and tubes) from the cab and proceeded to wrap the seperate items in 600 ft. of bubble wrap. Then he devised layers of peanuts, using flat pieces of cardboard sanwiching each layer of peanuts.
For an example: The chassis came in a box that was about 4ft. x 4ft. x 3 ft. tall. I thought that the cabinet was in there!

It seems that Josh was dedicated to making sure that no harm whatsoever was going to come to this amplifier in shipping. I've never seen anything like it before. Amazing!

I haven't done as many deals as a lot of folks on here, but Joe (XKnight) ranks among the best I have dealt with anywhere. He gave me a great deal, on my Birthday no less, and the guitar was even better than described.

Chris T sold me a fantastic custom Jerry Jones guitar that is among my faves. He's a very nice guy to do business with.

I also sold my '65 Musicmaster to David (cry of love), and he was a pleasure to deal with in every way.

Oh, and I sold my '64 Jaguar to Hogy, who is a very knowledgeable fellow, and a great guy. I would deal with him again anytime.
