Anybody round here play one of these? Del is an amazing guitar maker and is a true artist - he takes pride in every guitar he makes. Plus he is a real nice guy.
Some guys who play his guitars are - Phil Keaggy, Matt Odmark, Wes King, Scott Dente...
Check him out here:

If you've got the cash - you should consider a Langejeans!

I have played some of Del's guitars in his store. He is a great guy and also does some of the best setup/tech work you have ever seen. His guitars are top notch.

Del is awesome - used to shop there all the time when I live up in MI. I got to play an amazing Brazillian Rosewood guitar that was on it's way to Phil Keaggy.
Someday, I will own one of his guitars!
I've played some of his guitars and they are very nice. That said, I've also played some guitars that have come out of his shop for setups and other things and, in my personal experience, the results I've experienced on other guitars were less than stellar. Not sure why, but I know what I saw. I'm sure there are always exceptions - I've seen them on builders I've recommended to others as well, so it works both ways - but I just can't count myself as a fan.

I have seen some bad set ups out of Del's music shop - but when I saw them, it was when one of the store employees did the set up - not to mention any names, but it was not so hot. Now, when I had Del himself work on my guitar - it was great... I have not played one of his guitars, set up by him, that I did not like. But I hear ya about some of the set ups from his shop..

Check out the last guitar on this page of his. It's nylon string on one side and flip it over and it's a steel string (two necks).

A friend of mine has a really nice Langejans guitar that I've played at several gigs - he builds exceptional instruments. He's a nice guy too; as Bill Wise of Charis Acoustics was learning to build guitars and start his own company, he was able to spend the day in Del's shop asking questions and learning some things from Del. That's the way it should be among builders.

I played one of Phil Keaggy's Langejans a few years ago and its setup was perfect. Acousticaly balanced and the plugged in tone phenomenal. A very nice instrument. Going to Nashville a couple years ago I stopped at the Tennessee/KY dealer for Langejans and played a cedar/EIRW GC cutaway that was the single finest sounding acoustic I've played. If it had the neck width and pickup system I wanted I would be significantly more in debt... :)

I purchased his LR-6 sight unseen over a year ago, and have absolutely loved the setup and balance. Keep in mind, the LR-6 is his base model. I'm not sure I can imagine what his higher spec models sound like, this is so nice. I will probably add an I-beam p/up to the element that it came with, but beyond that, I'm satisfied.

I've played one of the two neck guitars it was pretty sweet. Also the setups I have seen that came directly from Del were great. Can't comment on other people in the shop.
