Hey,
Thinking of getting something noiseless for my Highway 1 Jazz.........I have just awful buzz issues in my house. ( I only can use Dimarzio Areas and Humbuckers in my guitars).
I've heard good things about the Dimarzio Ultra Jazz pickups, but that was a couple years ago.
Anyone use them? Dig 'em? Hate 'em?
Whaddya think?

they're great. Same pickups sadowsky uses in his high end basses. Sound good with or without a preamp.

I have them in a couple of parts basses. Great pickups.

Got them in my Modulus GVJ with an Aguilar OBP-1 and LOVE the tone! They sound great with the preamp up or off.

Well.....got them installed in my Highway 1 tonight...minimum of fuss.
I can't really say how they sound, as I also put on new strings which I want to settle in a bit, and I couldn't crank it much.............although at low volume they seemed to be fat, clear and very even across the spectrum, which is nice.
I CAN say this, though............damn, these are QUIET. Like, really, really quiet. I had my amp louder than expected when I went to test them, and since I didn't hear the hiss, I was VERY surprised by my first note (as were my upstairs neighbors......lol). I have a super bad RF and other noise situation here (computer monitor, incredibly bad, old house wiring, etc), and it sure is nice to solo up Jazz pickups, or just roll the bridge down a bit, and have it stay BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ free.
So far, so good.
