I'd like to hear some answers about the speakers, too. Here's a bump for this question.

People seem to like the Eminence Red, White & Blues in the Pro, along with Weber 12F150s. Weber also makes a 12F150T with more ribs in the cone like the original Jensens. Of course, finding a pair of period-correct Jensens would be nice, too.

As far as tubes, get a Mullard for the rectifier, some nice GEs, Sylvanias, or RCAs for the preamp tubes, but a Mullard for the phase inverter. JAN Phillips 6L6WGB for power tubes is nice, or a pair of reissue Tung Sols. YMMV.

RCAs across the board would be fantastic. For preamp tubes, read this. You may be able to save some $$$ by using less expensive tubes in the sockets that aren't critical.

NOS Power tubes are going to be expensive. RCAs would be top pick, GEs (at half the price) are an excellent second which some players actually prefer.

In new production 6L6s, the Groove Tubes 6L6GEs or SED 6L6GCs are good.
