A friend of mine has a Fender Hotrod deluxe and he asked me to come a little early to his next gig with my "compubias" to see if his tubes are baised-up well and adjust them if they are not.

so my question: Is the HR deluxe fixed bias with a pot to adjust it(?), or is it cathode-baised in which case it needs no adjustments?

Thanks!

Hi Dave C,
thanks., Where is the pot lovcated? Does the amp need to be opened-up or is it on the underside of the chassis near trasnformers, etc ?

Thanks!

Awesome, a movie about biasing! Thank you!

Darn, I wish Fender would put the bias screw adjustment somewhere where ya don't have to take apart the amp! My Vibrolux Reverb (69) has the bias screw on the underside of the chassis. Now, in modern time it is inside the amp: technology is progressing backwards!

But thanks for the info, Now I know how to help my freiend out!

Six screws and the back pops off - you don't have to take anything else apart.
