Anyone compared tonal differences between metal connectors or cable for pedal to pedal connection? I would think that the shorter metal connector would effect tone much less than cable would. Thoughts? Dumb question? :NUTS

the issue with metal connectors isn't with tone, but durability. They can easily kill your pedal jacks. Since that there is no give, if the output jack of one pedal and the input jack of the next aren't at the exact same height, it puts strain on the pedal jacks every time you stomp on your pedal.

Had not thought of that potential problem. At such short distance does tone REALLY get affected by your pedal connections?

Say you are using the short 6" cables and you have 12 pedals. That's an extra 5.5' of cable. Not a big deal at all. The part that is significantly affecting your tone there is the number of pedals and the effect that each have on your signals impedence and frequency range, not the amount of cable.

+1 on that
