Hey, Recently i've been really into modding my AC30cc1, most of the mods are the ones from Plexi Palace so I would actually post this on that forum but im not a member yet..
I just replaced all of the coupling caps with Vintage SOZO's I turned on my amp and it seemed like there was a normal amount of volume output but something was wrong it was cutting in and out finally it just went dead..I pulled out the board again and found I made a really stupid mistake, I had forgotten to cut one of the leads off and it seems like it was touching a bunch of other things probably shorting out the circut..I cut the lead and made sure that everything else was ok then I tried out the amp again.
Now all i Get is extrememly low volume from either channel it still breaks up like it would with the volume cranked but I just don't get hardly any volume..did I blow my Output transformer? I switched out all the tubes so that isn't the problem and I don't see any burn marks on the circut board
so im not really sure where to go from here...I know I should take it to an experiened amp tech but I I need to use this amp tomorrow and would love to fix it myself if plausable
Edit: I have also put all the old coupling caps back in place so I am sure that it is a problem with another part on the amp...
Thanks a lot,
Joel
