Hearing clips of Skreddy Lunar Module and Lovepedal 200Lbs. of Tone made me very interested in silicon fuzz.

Foxrox also makes one. Who else makes silicon fuzz?

Thanks!

Hi Hartman makes a great BC108 silicon Fuzz, Analog man makes one and don't forget Dunlop Hendrix BC108 Fuzz.

My Throbak Overdrive Boost is my only silicon fuzz, but it's so much more than just a fuzz.

Some other ones are Foxrox Hot Silicon (I think that's the name), MJM London (sil. version), KR Gypsy Fuzz, Roger Mayer Axis Fuzz. There are a lot of them.

Understatement! There are really a lot of them, hell D*A*M alone makes what 8 or something?

Anyways, here's my input:
Fuzzface
Fulltone 70
Nick Greer makes a few - haven't tried them
LP 200 lbs -- isn't the Karl Si as well?
Blackbox make a bunch - some hybrid Ge/Si too
Effector 13 / Ohhlala make a bunch
Analogman's sunface Si - is the peppermint fuzz Si?
Foxrox Hot Silicon
Earthquaker Hoof is another hybrid
Euthymia Crucible
Isn't the Keeley fuzzhead Si?

There must be hundreds...

M.I. Audio makes one (I can't remember the name). Also, MJM has the Foxey Fuzz. I love the sound clips for it. I only have one silicon, but I do have a few germanium ones (S.S. Pro Bender, A.M. NKT Sunface, Throbak Fuzzhaze).

The Si side of Retroman's Sybil is awesome.
Monsterpiece NPN is very nice as well.
KR Gypsy Fuzz sings on leads like no other fuzz I've had.

I have personally tried:

MJM London II (which I still own)
Lovepedal 200 (which I just bought, and may replace the MJM on my pedalboard)
Lovepedal Lil China Balance Fuzz (which I loved, but had a "too much volume" problem with)
Pedalworks McFuzz Hot
Purple Fulltone 70
Blue Fulltone 70

The only one I was disappointed with was the Purple Fulltone. I reeeeaaaallly like Si Fuzzes though.

I just had a tour box of Si fuzzes that were really impressive from Basic Audio. I think his site is still under construction:

Psionic Audio 3.14

In one mode it's silicon, and the other mode is a combination of silicon and germanium.

M.I. Audio's silicon fuzz is called the G.I. Fuzz.

After reading about all the thought and innovation that went into this fuzz, I ordered one! I should have it in the next couple of days. :banana

I've built a couple axis face silicon fuzzes that sound good for Si.

Love my Addrock Hism Scism....yowza.

I know the point is to make a list, not just talk about our favorites, but I will +1 the Hism Scism big time. Love that pedal. OK, I am done.

BTW, our we talking about silicon fuzfaces, or can tonebenders and big muffs play too? Whenever we talk generically about 'fuzz' these all seem to get blended together in the same thread, and to me they are very much not the same things. Ok, now I am done.

BBE Free Fuzz, supposedly a silicon Fuzz Face copy. I've got one, it's true bypass and cleans up when you turn down your volume knob. Don't know how true it is to FF, I'm used to the germanium ones.
