It would get the other point with a cable upgrade.

I actually like using cheap cables. They sound better to me. Expensive ones are too bright sounding. George L's I'm still contemplating for atleast 5 years now. :D

Voodoo Labs PPIIplus would be your best bet I think.

If not the best, it's one of the best out there.

It great pedal, I think it's an OCD killer! I believed it's a clone of the original grey DOD 250 that's tweaked better. Never played the DOD, but this one's a great sounding distortion.

I like your board a lot since it has an HK roto and the seldomly seen mjm sixties univibe. awesome.

It's in a custom smaller casing. Just like the old tall MJM boxes. 3.5 x 4.5 x 2.5
I think you might have to pay extra for it though, since it's harder to fit the Uni-vibe guts in a smaller casing. e-mail mjmguitarfx@hotmail.com

Okay I've obviously missed a lot. You have a strat and a Dr. Z now? I see you're still using the Superfuzz. Has the switch ever been replaced? I'm glad to see you've replaced your Rotosphere.

I agree. Cheap cables seem to give me a blueser tone. There's a certain midrange quality that seems to get lost, or is never generated with more expensive cables. I don't know all the technical reasons why. But I can hear the difference. I think electric guitar is, in the main, a lo-fi instrument - hi-fi quality cables are overkill.

I recently replaced the Superfuzz (not sure for how long). I did buy another Roto (see pic). Switch?! I got a few strats the past few months, but I still use my trusty tele, and also my new LP Special.

Totally. Though, after a few weeks playing with just a Fuzz Face and my MJM Blues Devil. I feel a bit different about those cables now. I played a gig last week with my full board again, and now I'm noticing a bit of the "blanket cover" tone out of my amp. :(
