Demo Occtone Pedals - TGP Tourbox - Try them out and ship them to the next guy!

I've really wanted to check out Christopher Occhialini's line of Occtone pedals but as of right now there are no dealers setup. I was about to take advantage of a recent promo he posted in the Manufacturer's and Retailers Forum (http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showthread.php?t=379442) when he came up with a great suggestion... A Tour box of Occtone Pedal's for members of The Gear Page! He's trying to get his pedals in the hands of guitar players like us. Kind of like grass roots marketing. I think it's a great idea and I intend to take full advantage

He has two Boss DS-1 mods, the PMC and MKII that are very cool with an impressive list of users. Including, Keith Richards, Julian Kasper and Brad Whitford. He also has two original designs including, The Elmore Supreme Boost and the ZMAX Tone Console.

Here's how it'll work... He’s gonna box them up (one of each) and send them to the first Gear Pager to sign up. You'll demo the pedals for 2-3 Days and after that send them to the next guy on the list on your dime. If you like them you can order one from Chris or post a review. If not just send them to the next guy. I'm sure Chris would appreciate any feedback as well.

I'm pretty psyched to check out the PMC and the Elmore. I know Guitar World reviewed the PMC, you can find that and clips for all of the pedals on his site below.

The Elmore is very sweet!!! Of all the overdives on the market this little pedal "elmore" was a breath of fresh air! Open souding with a good kick!!

Just a quick follow up to see where the pedals are on the list. Last I heard Eddie Nowik handed off the pedals to Dan King in Somerville MA around June 6-7th? Have not heard back from anyone or seen any new reviews or feedback in a while.

Couple of ground rules…
1. Please email Chris when you receive the pedals and ship them out. That way we can keep track of them!
2. The demo period is 3 days. Please try to keep on schedule.
3. Please post your review on TGP and send Chris and notes you have.

Preston’s emailed me indicating that Jeremy F was no longer at the address that he gave me . I asked Preston to send to Frank Robinson and neither Chris or myself have had any updates since then! Please update us ASAP.

Chris was cool enough to let us demo his pedals so let’s stick to the rules we established when the tour started! The demo period is 3 days…please email Chris or myself when you send to the next person on the list.

I sent out theis tourbox on MAY 5,2008- THAT IS ALMOST 5 MONTHS AGO. I am very disheartened that not only have I not received the pedals back(there were less than 20 people on the list to try them out)
Thank you to Ted for his extraordinary efforts with this endeavor, and to all of you who did try the pedals and then let me know your thoughts on them.
Whoever has the pedals as of now, I would just like to get them back, please get in touch with me so that we can make arrangements, they are my property and part of how I put food on my table,

Just noticed the thread update- I have received no pedals which is a bummer as I was looking forward to checking them out. I've done a couple of tourboxes this year (Soloway Swan- man do I want one now, Lizard Leg Boost, NOC3 puredrive, etc) so I know how cool is it is to be involved and important it is to stay on schedule.

I hope the pedals turn up as I would hate for builders to stop allowing us to try such (relatively rare) gear before buying.
