Hi,
I just picked up a winfield modded DRRI from a member, can anyone tell me which tubes are used with which channel? ie, is V1 used by both normal and tremolo?
I tried a 5751 in V1 and it sounded nice, but after trying (then switching out) an AU7 in V2 I thought the volume dropped on the normal channel. I just got the amp today so maybe the volume was always different on the two channels but normal is definitely quieter than tremolo. I now have the normal tube compliment in there as shown on the tube chart.
Finally, there was a 5AR4 in there, can I swap it to an RCA 5U4? If so what could I expect from the change?
All in all I guess I should hit up Winfield for some insight in addition to TGP,
