I've got an AC30 that worked great until the other day when I transported it from one house to another. Once I arrived and plugged in it did not turn on. I opened it up and the fuses look ok and the tubes were solidly in their places. Obviously I'll have to take this to a tech since I'm not an amp guru but I was wondering what it might be?
My guess is the tubes but I would think it would at least turn on so I could see the light on...

Most likely, your rectifier tube is not working. Common problem with the CC amps. I know this after getting caught with a failed rectifier tube at a gig! Absolutely DEAD amp. No lights, no power, no sound whatsoever.
Replace rectifier tube. Amp will probably work.

Having it happen at a show would suck!
Thanks Dave. I'll try to look up which one is the rectifier tube...

Yep. Keep in mind, you'll have to disassemble the amp about 1/2 way to the ground and probably unsolder the speaker in the process to remove the chassis and get at the tubes. The design on the CC series amps is not what I'd call 'user-friendly.'
Good luck.

The same thing happened to me with mine. Fuses checked out fine, rectifier tube was good. If your amp is a early version, the soldering work can be a bit suspect. I had to resolder at the point of where the fuse holders are wired in, and once your in there check all suspect looking solder joints and resolder if needed.

I agree.
........And, whatever you do make sure you don't put a Mesa boogie brand in there.
Those tubes are bad, in my experience.
I would replace the fuses anyway.
Good luck.
