I have a old tweed GA-18t. Do to the problem of finding a good low drive pedal I have decided to try to use this amp cranked for my overdrive sound live. I was wondering about changing the output transformer to a more robust one. The OT tranny on this thing is tinny. Any suggestions on a good replacemet. I'm looking for a little more output, clarity and punch. Would a Tweed Deluxe OT work well? Thanks- John

Yes, but I'm not sure you'll reallize much change. Maybe a Deluxe Reverb?

I may not need it. I put the amp through a old Silver Vox Bulldog 12 , holy shit it sounds great! It may be loud enough, I still need to play it with the band. I'm tired of doing the louder, clean amp thing and going through a million overdrives to find the right one. None of them sound like this! I still may try the bigger OT though. 14 watts of sparkle and growl!
