Just a little ole SM57 close micing a G1265. I think pulling the mic back a couple of inches would have helped things. It is a little thick. Either that or dive into the amp and adjust the bass/mids a smidge.

This was my first take with the mic a little more centered and a different reverb - http://www.scottlernermusic.com/Bludo/BludoBMRack.mp3 - It is a little brighter and clearer in the low end but out of tune.

sorry for the way hot guitar mix. Darn Adam P11 monitors! Still getting used to them

Brand new Bludo clip from today with bass turned down. http://www.scottlernermusic.com/Bludo/BludoPrints.mp3

That sort of describes Scott's playing very well actually ...
Sounds great again Scott ...

Yeah. These new Adam P11A monitors have messed with my mixing. They sound so good, I have been pushing the solo tracks...

Wow, that sounds amazingly familiar. Great. I still need to grok a 2290, but can't bring myself to get one and deal with all the weight, size, etc.

Thanks everybody!! Not to derail my own post, but I think the tones on this Footprints take is a bit smoother and nicer. I adjusted the tonestack a bit.

it's all personal taste, but I do like this smoother one. although they're both great tones and I could live with either.. :)

I like your playing, as always, Scott....

Have to admit, I don't really dig the changes the guy was playing, though..........a bit sing-songy.......you navigated them well, though.

Scott,

All these clips sound fantastic on my crappy laptop speaker. Will listen on some better ones later.

That is the biggest lesson that I learned during scott's first ampfest. You just can't hear the essence / magic these things have through clips. It is to me what makes these amps so special. The clips sound great but it just does not can't compare to hearing it live.

Scott,

You getting a tele any time soon? Thought I read that you were - Anderson? Love to hear some clips with one...

Steve,
I felt the same way the first time I was over Scott's a couple months ago. Boy, you not only hear the essence of those 100 watters, but you can feel them as well. Bummed that I missed this past one on Sunday. :(

In that case, that would be some BIG, JUICY tone in person. You need a steak knife just listening to the clip.

you are always gonna have great tone and taste man,
but i just sense that your clips using fuchs amp have a better connection to your style.

when you play other amps, it sounds like you are playing licks.
when you play the fuchs, even if in the room you may be fighting it more touch wise, on the clips it sounds like your "voice"...more expressive and intuitive. maybe not quite as wide and dynamic as the other amps, but the right dynamic edge for your style.

just my take on it.

oh and i could use more 2290 please.:phones

Fat bite....2290 is the bomb with them oldschool 19" delays....had one of those too back then:D
As usual inspiring playing!

Great Playing! Great sounds! but why do you want smoother? Your touch is clean and authoritative, so why not reveal it with a little more rosin and bow like upper mid or top? You of all people don't need to hide your left hand behind smooth. I just think the horn mimic thing does not properly show off the unique sound of your hands enough. You are not a geezer, yet.. And Kudos to the builder of the amp, he's got a solid foundation in the Dumble camp for certain, well done!

I agree. Scott, the best tones you have gotten are the old Fuchs clips IMO. I have all of your clips on my computer I study regularly. Your playing on FootPrints is off the charts man. Just KILLING. Thanks for sharing.
