Hi everybody,

I'm a regular over on the Steel Guitar Forum, and these days I play more pedal steel than anything else. But my main instrument for the past 20 years has been 6-string guitar. I also write songs. I'm currently playing professionally as well as finishing off a Masters in English.

Here's what's in my arsenal these days:

2008 Fender USA Standard Telecaster (Natural)
2007 Epiphone Casino (Red)
2006 Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue
1970 Twin Reverb
1962 Gibson Southern Jumbo
2007 Jackson Blackjack pedal steel
1977 Peavey Session 400 (steel amp)
2006 Peavey Nashville 112 (steel amp)

I'm mostly into classic pop and rock, like The Beatles, The Springfield, Stones, Who, etc. I also like classic country, ie. Waylon, Willie, Charlie Pride, Merle. I've been a member here for a while, but this is my first post. I look forward to contributing to the conversations here.

Hey! Welcome. Married in Gander, myself, visited Cornerbrook, the Tablelands up north of there, and St. Johns, of course.

Thanks, guys!

Old Tel Man, I played the Argentia base in '87......what a time. Glad you said hi, and I hope NFLD treated you well. I know the Americans were well-loved in Newfoundland. A lot of musicians were stationed here. One of them got me started on steel guitar. He came in '67 and never left.

I'm an army guys at Ft. Hood Texas for 10 more months til I retire.

I'm lousey with some nice guitars;

Martin D-35, WY1K Alarez (Yari)

My electrics are a Les Paul Black Beauty, ES-Artist, Fender Jazzmaster (64 pre-CBS) Fender Fat Strat, Satrianni Ibinez, and a couple other cheap ones.

I have a butt load of amps because my brother worked for SLM music (At the Arkansas plant).

I have a boss 880 drum machine and a Boss 1600 digital recorder.

I came here looking for information about my guitars.

I'm in the process of retiring and trying to record all the songs I've written.

I'm very impressed with the level of technical expertise I have seen here.

Take care, Semore
