I just got this great little machine a few months ago and have been working through all of it's functions.

One thing has popped up, though, that I can't figure out.

I can't get multiple COSM insert effects to be "saved" to their respective tracks! It's best to give an example:

Say I want to record two guitar tracks using any of the amp models, or even user or song models. Let's say two tracks of "Small Amp." I like to record "dry" and add the COSM amp models later.

I activate track #1 for recording and set the COSM input location as "record dry." I record my track. On playback it's dry, just as it should be.
I then change the location of the "Small Amp" setting to "Track 1." Now this track has the "Small Amp" model applied.

All is good.

Now I want to do the same for my overdubbed second guitar on Track 2. I can't! When I finish recording the track, and change the "Small Amp" location to "Track 2," I lose it on Track 1!!

How do you "save" the same (or different for that matter) COSM models to each track when using "record dry" then location change on playback?

I've never tried working the way you describe but IIRC there's only one insert FX processor available so you won't be able to put insert FX (like amp sims) onto more than one track at once.

If you've decided on the sound that you want for the part I think you'll have to bounce the dry track to another v-track with the FX on it so it's audio, then do the same for the second dry track and so on.

hmmm - that's not very encouraging. i wish i could just just record the separate tracks dry and then choose what amp model to use, tweaking each for the sound I want accordingly, during mixdown. I see your point though - record dry, add cosm, and bounce to new track. then do it again for the remaining tracks.

thanks for the reply
