I'm very happy to announce a very limited run of 10 JB-100 Joe Bonamassa signature amps that will be released one at a time over the next 18 months.

So whats so special about that...?

Well each one of them will be sent to Joe for his blessing on the tone and actually played live by him for several shows and signed by him. The new owners will be provided with documentation and photos, as well as a complimentory pair of tickets to one of the shows where he will be playing the amp (compliments of CA).

When I went to Joe with this proposal it was just to get his blessing on sending the amp for him to sign and check out, he was the one that said he should play them for a week or so.

The JB-100 isn't a standard CA model. It uses a top mounted chassis and has a fixed tone network on the OD channel, which has been tweaked to Joes taste. The OD channel has a 'filter' control to voice that channel for the room. THese amps are designed to be played hard, so if you are a player that plays small clubs, I recommend using an attenuator so you can keep the power stage running hot. I personally recommend the THD hotplate for this amp.
The JB-100 is a two channel amp with seperate masters and a tube driven efx loop. It uses a very heavy duty power transformer I actually designed to be used with a 200W amp and has a custom output transformer.
This amp is voiced to be used with a 2x12 cab loaded with EVM-12L's.

Pricing is tbd.

These will be spread through the Dealers over the course of the next 18 months.

Joe is very excited about this. We both think it's a very unique and genuine oppurtunity, a signature amp by virtue of the fact you get an actual amp that has been played, gigged and verified by the artist himself. He also really wants each one to go to guys that will play and enjoy them, not just sit in someones living room or end up on Ebay .

Regards, Alan.

I think that is pretty cool too.

(do a 18 or 30 watt combo for me lol)

Joe is an awesome player and seems to be a good guy to boot. Congratulations on a nice partnership.

I love this idea. Very cool of Joe to extend the 'blessing' period to gigs. This is the way all signature amps should be handled. Looking forward to hearing more about it.

What's the difference between your signature amp and Category 5s?
