Actually the last half of the Folsom Prison solo didnt sound that muddy.. the camera guy got too close & it cut all the highs out of the recording somehow... Made it sound really muddy

Went to Hixson and then UT. Graduated in 93 form Hixson and UT in 98. I live in Charlotte now.

I'm going to try and record our version of that song. It almost gets metal lol.. I love to sing that song. I really liked your work on the solo's.. I am going to go back and pick out a couple of those chicken picken licks to work in to my playing.. good stuff

Actually we do a lot of country songs that progress into rock territory towards the end.. Mostly classic country songs that we build up until the guitars are overdriven & hotter solos than the originals.
I think it really makes the stuff appeal more to the younger crowds
We do an especially rocked up version of the Ride by David Allan Coe & a few others

Your take on Folsom Prison was excellent. Good sound, great licks and wonderful solo. Wish I had more of that. Back to practice I guess. You make me want to get my Tele out again.
