I just acquired a freebie acoustic. It's a 12 string Fender Santa Maria, made in Korea. The problem is that it was stepped on, and the neck has seperated from the body. It's a clean break, right where it was glued from the factory.

I completely took the neck off and cleaned up what little jagged peices there were that would prohibit the neck from going back on properly, and it will fit back perfectly.

So now, what kind of glue do I use to put it back together? The spruce top was seperating slightly from the sides, so I have it clamped with regular wood glue right now, but will that suffice for the neck also?

Thanks much.

Titebond original formula will work well, hide glue a little better but harder to use.

Thanks much Rosewood. I'll pick some Titebond up tonight.
