Clip of the Ultimate Attenuator. Ceriatone OTS amp cranked up 1/2 way and attenuated down to talking levels!

Much more singing and dynamic than simply using the amp's master volume. Huge difference in feel.

Awesome playing and tone. Only been able to try my new UA for 15 minutes. Can't wait to put some more time on it.

Sounds great, I'd like a little more highs on the guitar to hear that killer playing and the guitar is a little soft in the track for me. That rim shot is killing me, too. Other than my unsolicited 2 cents worth of complaints from the cheap seats, great job!

The longer I own mine, the more I'm figuring out ways to tweak for optimizing the balance between the UA and amp to keep the signal in tact. When I start out with my amp at the overdrive level I want, by the time I attenuate it down to the target level, I tend to want to restructure and turn the amp back down some then open up the UA some more. Some amps also don't take well to the UA due to inherent buzziness and this is where I've found speaker choice to be one of the biggest parts of the sound when throttled down like this.

I've been saying this for quite a while as I use my Hotplate with my Aiken Intruder which BTW has a great master volume. In the end cranking the master volume with heavy attenuation IMO still sounds and feels better then just using a good master volume turned up a fraction. The Hotplate does a nice job of heavy attenuation but the highs get washed out so you hands down need the bright switch engaged when using it like that. The UA is probably a better unit for heavy attenuation but $400 is a bit much. I'd buy a Ho Attenuator for much less before the UA. BTW great noodling Jack!

I'm really digging this thing. It sounds great with my EL84 amp too. I have not tried it with my plexi clone. I have the feeling that's where the real beauty will shine through!
