I never heard anyone do a sample with an Overtone and a Greenback, so I bought one!
Its very...."bluesy" and "classic" compared to a G12-65:

All my recent OTS clips were done with the greenback. It's brighter than the 1265 by the way.

I still have a 2x12 with RW&B speakers but it sounds very dark to me too. I'm ready to admit that I was wrong about the 1265. It and the RW&B are both dark but the RW&B is a bit more grainy sounding and less clear. For some reason, it sounds a little better with a strat but not quite "right". I think the G12H30 and Greenback both sound better with a strat and both sound great with a Les Paul as well as Dumble or Vintage amps.
