Ok...so I just got my timefactor in the mail and it is everything that I expected. I understand the functionallity of the pedal due to the fact that I have been reading the manual for a couple of months in anticipation of the this pedals arrival. :crazyguy
My questions are...
1. Should I download the newest software available?
2. Why or why not?
Thanks TF Brothers!!! :phones
They finished the beta testing and came out with the 2.0 software, they fixed a few of the glitches (wouldn't take expression pedal edits, for one), and so many cool things in the new 2.0, you should. Only thing if you've already programmed patches, get ready to edit again for the delay volumes, they've changed.
Great pedal, get ready for some SERIOUS tweaking! lol.........

I would say upgrade - you get more aux switch assignments, feedback to 110% - have a look at the release notes on the Eventide site.

Definitely upgrade. 2.0 sounds better because they adjusted the way the mix knob works. You can also use tap tempo with Mod and Tape delays without a bad sounding pitch bend.

downloads are usually pretty quick (under a minute) - and give another minute or so for the patch to do its thang.
A minute or 2, with a good DSL....
Check out the update docs, there's a lot of good stuff! the 110% feedback for those "spaceship-taking-off" kinda sounds with the tape echo, better looper splices, more patches (doubled!!! 40 instead of 20), a few more filters added to some of the modes, very cool....
Now if they could just get the looper to do the backwards thing............

Most definitely do the upgrade TF Brother! I just did it myself a couple days ago and it has made an awesome pedal even better. I loved the way it sounded out of the box but didn't like the substantial boost in volume when it was activated and would have liked a lot more variation with the filters. After the upgrade these issues were solved and provides greater tonal flexibility.

I agree, upgrade as soon as you can and enjoy the many improvements.

I enjoy the upgraded software much more. They listened to the users and made a lot of good changes. It sounds top notch. Anyone who has not played it with the upgrade truly has not played it. The filters are better. I'm still waiting for a better tape echo though.
