All right, here it is. Introducing the “BluesBoy Classic Phat S”. It’s actually a chambered BluesBoy (6.7 pounds) that I added an S-500 middle pup and changed the Seth Lover to a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat. I also added a pull pot on the volume to get a couple of extra settings. The Phat Cat pup sounds really nice. It’s supposed to be more like a P90 but definitely has its own vibe going on, Thicker sounding than the Seth Lover but very clear as well is the best I can describe it. Nothing wrong with the Seth Lover but the Phat Cat fits the guitar better IMO. The neck is thicker than my mid 90’s ASAT but not “Nocaster” thick. I’m really enjoying at the moment.

That really looks great, aesthetically I got no trouble with that.
So, which positions are noise canceling now, I mean, is the S -500 pup RWRP towards the bridge MFD?
I was wondering if that bridge MFD could hold its own against some of the P-90 ish offerings out there, even if the typical Fender Tele bridge pup can't do so under all circumstances.
Looks great.

The Bridge-Middle together are noise canceling. The Phat Cat -Neck is quiet by itself. So the Neck-Middle and the Middle by itself are the two positions that have a bit of hum.

Now this is why I'm TOTALLY cool with a swimming pool route. Where'd you get the pickguard?

Looks good. What pot values are you using? I have a Fender American Series Tele (medium heavy white blonde ash body, RW fingerboard) with a Phat neck and Jerry Donahue Tele lead setup, which is hum-canceling when combined and balances pretty well volume-wise. It sounds really good. I also put a set of Phat Cats in my PRS McCarty Standard with IRW neck, and that of course is a great sounding and well-balanced combo. They have some P90 flavor, but also some fat Fender SC tone lurking somewhere in the mix. Pretty unique tone, and very cool and useful.

Actually it doesn't have a swimming pool route. The body had to be routed out for the middle pickup. The pick guard is the stock one it was routed as well.

The volume pot is a 500k push/pull, the tone pot is 250k.

Looks great! I'm drooling because I have a ASAT Classic Custom that I ordered and am hoping it arrives next week. It has the Maple gun oil tinted neck like yours.
