I'd like to replace my strat copy's Single Coil PU with a Humbucker that's SC sized. I play sort of classic rock / alt rock sound (jambandy) Any recommendations?
edit: mods feel free to move this if it's not the right forum

Check out these:

And these:

The steel pole 43's have the output of a humbucker but aren't hum cancelling

i love the duncan little 59 in the bridge position. it's like a fat & warm amped up single coil, not overpowering but fuller and not as chimey as a standard single coil.

Thanks for the responses. Now that I'm home I can do some research.
I like Seymour Duncan's "little George Lynch Screamin' Demon". Doesn't sound anything like the full-size Demon, better in my opinion.

I just bought a Duncan JB Jr. for mine. Should be here today. It's killin' me that I'm not gonna have time to install it 'til next week.

I didn't like the lil 59 in the neck of my strat. It just sounded weak in the mids and thin.
In fact I thought the Fralin SP43 sounded much better and it was just a hot single coil.
I just routed my tele out and put a fralin humbucker in, it sounds fantastic.

fyi, it's to replace my bridge PU. I like the sound I get with my middle/neck combo, but the bridge is lacking.

I've tried the Duncan JB jr. and the Hot Stack and I've also bought the DiMarzio Tonezone. The Tonezone worked best for me, because it sounded closest to a fullsized HB.

Ditto! I've used the Little 59 in the bridge of my Strat in the past, and it rocked very well. Was fat and warm.
But, I really like my Vintage Vibe SP-90's a LOT more! :AOK
