My marshall style footswitch isn't working and the screws are so soft that they stripped when I tried to open it up. I need a simple one button footswitch to replace it and I was wondering if there was a better quality footswitch out there. Any help would be appreciated.

Tube Amp Doctor carries some I know.

Personally, I would just drill out the screws, get replacements and fix the thing. Mainly I think you are paying for the chassis on those footswitches. You could replace all the components probably for 2 dollars. Buying a new footswitch is going to be considerably more I would think.

there's a guy on ebay selling all types of footswitches. And he makes them so that you can detach the cable from the footswitch and choose any length you like. Looks way better than the stock one from Marshall!

Thanks for the tips, guys. I have been looking at loop-master.com. They make a simple footswitch that seems well built and smaller than the marshall for about the same price.

I have a few voodooman switches. Very nice stuff! Well made and very reasonable price.
