Had a mutal friend of Brother Cane. Got to hang with them a bit back in the day. Really cool guys, the singer/guitarist explained what mods he had done to his Marshall. Very cool band and they sounded great!

Four bands I'd like to see new albums from:
Alice in Chains - after seeing their tour last year, it left me thristing for more, I thought Duvall did Staley justice
Rage Against the Machine
The Beastie Boys
Van Halen w/ Roth - I think there is alot left in that tank after that long tour, would be intersting to see what they could pull off for new material

PAVEMENT!!! :dude
Led Zeppelin - hope they make good on their plans to do a more extensive tour.
Big Wrek - fantastic and under-rated.
Kyuss - love QOTSA, but John Garcia is a monster of a front man, and Queens doesn't ever play any of the old Kyuss material
Ride - some of the true pioneers of psychedelic Brit-pop movement
Phish - this may actually happen
Pink Floyd - one can dream....

Probably my favorite instrumental jazz rock unit was the band Stanley Clarke assembled for his second release: Stanley, bass; Jan Hammer, keyboards; Bill Connors, guitar; Tony Williams, drums. Changed my whole perspective of instrumental electric music. Next would have to be the band Bruford got for "One of a Kind" Bruford, drums; Dave Stewart, keyboards; Allan Holdsworth, guitar; Jeff Berlin, drums. Outstanding!

2 pages without anyone saying "the Beatles?" Perhaps everyone understood the premise to be that no band reformations would require members coming back from the dead. But, wait, I did see Humble Pie in there...

There's only one band that I wish I could resurrect--The Jimi Hendrix Experience. I even had this crazy dream last week that I woke up and I was back in the 60's and the Experience was coming to town. All I had was ATM's, Credit Cards and current money in my wallet and I went into a frenzy to try to get to the concert without blowing my cover. It was a nightmare. When I woke up I was in full on freak out thinking it was really happening and I was going to miss the concert. I was scheming about how to get inside the entourage with my futuristic knowledge and was considering lying about giving Jimi a message from Buddy Miles. The message was a quote from the Electric Ladyland DVD that would have got me in but I'd have to play it off right not to give away where I was from and that I didn't really know Buddy personally.
I spent the entire morning thinking about how I would come up some quick cash if i was suddenly transported back in time without any resources. Yeah, we all could make a fortune over time but how do you come up with a couple of grand instantaneously for travel and living expenses?

Wow, I did not think anyone else out there knew about that band. I think Vivian has made enough dough in Def Leppard to go back to actually playing and quit the pop music thing. For me it would have to be the original UFO lineup sane and sober.I believe that's really probably asking too much.

It never occurred to me to list bands with dead members. If that's the case, then I would love the chance to see Joy Division live. Ian Curtis died (and the band folded) when I was nine years old.

How about a band who nobody may know is still around? And after thirty something years! Saga! Canada's best IMHO! New DVD "Contact" available now in celebration of they're 30th anniversary, and of the last show with singer Michael Sadler! New album "The Human Condition" coming in Spring with new vocalist!
