weber bias rite ?

I am going to get one of these so I can duh BIAS my own amps. I know nothing really about tubes though.. So when would youneed a nine pin model? what kind of tubes.. Whats the best version to get? I did use search and understand to get the v1 option.. what about 9 pin?

The 9 pin is for amps that use EL84 output tubes.
The octal (8 pin) is for 6L6, 6V6, EL34

many El84 based amps are cathode biased so you may not need the 9 pin.
