I just bought a zoom MRS-802 of Craigs list.
Anyone have any experience or opinion of this digital 8 track?

I have had one since they came out and I have had nothing but good luck with it. Did you get the one with the CD?

The guitar tones etc aren't the greatest, they are however editable and passable. There is no Undo button which can be frustrating but there is tons of storage space, the cd burner is a great touch. Editing takes some getting used to but it can be done. The drums are decent and the programming of them is nice and easy (no velocity thought).

I use it now to record tracks and then I burn them onto a cd and put them onto my computer...the process sucks and takes forever but until I can get a compter that can handle recording, it's all I can do.

Overall...I give it an A

Thanks...yeah mine has the burner.
Mostly I need it to throw down ideas. I wanted something simple that I can use without a computer for now. Put down just a couple tracks...then be able to burn to cd so I can listen later and see if I liked anything enough to go further.
Sounds like this would work pretty well.

I don't know if I ever openened the manual for this thing...it's pretty straightforward out of the box. good luck with it.
