I have a Taylor 310 that's about 10 years old. The input jack needs help, methinks. It's been crackling and making noise in live applications.
I've had it cleaned/tightened by a luthier, but the problem persists.
Would y'all recommend replacing the jack? Where would I buy one? Does it need to be matched with the model of guitar or the particular pickup the guitar has? Thanks.

Probally needs contact cleaner. I had an old Tacoma where the jack was constantly making noises, and worse, loud pops and such, added some contact cleaner to a 1/4 plug, worked it in and out, walla, problem gone.
worth a try at least...

You just applied the cleaner to the end of a cable.... in and out?

You mean the output jack? ;-)
Try a Planet Waves cable with it. They have little springs for a tighter than normal fit and that may take care of your problem.
