If I do not have a built-in firewire port on a laptop, will an Express Card or PC Card with firewire ports work just as well for recording on a firewire based interface, i.e. Presonus Firepod, MOTU 8pre, etc.? Will the data transfer be just as fast as a built-in firewire port? Thanks for any help.
